Mary Bird Perkins' 2009 "Fight Cancer" Campaign Begins

Mary Bird Perkins staff and volunteers kicked off the 2009 Fight Cancer Campaign at the home of Brett and Renee Furr on Thursday, August 27. Campaign volunteers along with staff members from Mary Bird Perkins will meet with individuals and companies throughout the community to share MBP's story and raise financial support for the Center's community outreach, research, early detection, education and survivorship programs.

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has been fighting cancer for over 35 years with locations in Baton Rouge, Covington, Hammond, Houma and Gonzales. It has comprehensive cancer programs with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge and St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
