Your gift, through the Annual Giving Program, provides the critical base of continuing support necessary so that Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center can meet the current and recurring needs of the community. Gifts through the annual program make possible the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment and technology and help support the CARE Network programs and services.
Leadership Donors are those individuals and businesses whose yearly cumulative contributions to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center are $1,200 or more. While every gift, large or small, helps the Center serve the community, friends and partners making annual leadership gifts lay the foundation for a strong base of recurring support for the Center.
Rathbone Society
The Rathbone Society was established as a tribute to the Center’s founding chairman, Dr. M.J. “Jack” Rathbone Jr. and his wife, Barbara. The Rathbones were models of passionate commitment and philanthropic spirit.
Members of the Rathbone Society help carry on their vision and commitment as well as provide critical support to meet the needs of the community in the fight against cancer.

Paul D. Perkins Society
The Paul D. Perkins Society honors Paul D. Perkins, the Baton Rouge philanthropist who provided the cornerstone gift which made the vision of a community-owned cancer treatment center a reality.
Mr. Perkins made his gift in memory of his daughter, Mary Bird Perkins. Members of the Paul D. Perkins Society provide the foundation of leadership support to meet the needs of the community in the fight against cancer.
